A NEW THERMAL MANAGEMENT SOLUTION TO REDUCE FUEL CONSUMPTION

The vehicle cooling process is becoming increasingly sophisticated as new systems continue to be added that require adequate cooling to operate. EGR, turbochargers and even batteries in hybrid vehicles, for example, are systems that each have their own corresponding piping complexity.

The Vernet TMM system manages the passenger compartment, while cooling the internal combustion engine, transmission and high-voltage components. All are integrated into the various cooling circuits, with the thermal management system monitoring each element to ensure that they reach and maintain their individual optimum operating temperature as quickly as possible.

In advanced hybrid vehicles, this temperature may also vary depending on driving conditions. The operational requirements of each system can vary significantly as the engine switches from electric to supercharged mode, with each circuit requiring a different level of flow to ensure that the highest levels of reliability, comfort and efficiency are achieved and maintained.

Integrated Vernet TMMs were born out of the need to keep up with the demands of modern vehicle technology and they will to continue to meet the challenges of the future. The operational requirements of each system can vary significantly as the engine switches from electric to supercharged mode, with each circuit requiring a different level of flow to ensure that the highest levels of reliability, comfort and efficiency are achieved and maintained.
